Las Vegas, NV - Huge news out of Las Vegas tonight as Dana White has announced a tournament to crown the UFC's new Welterweight Champion. In the first event of UFC's 21st year on January 4, 8 welterweight contenders will duke it out to become the new champion. Dana has stated that the 4 fights and 8 men are as follows:
Johny Hendricks vs. Martin Kampmann Carlos Condit vs. Jake Shields Robbie Lawler vs. Demian Maia Rory MacDonald vs. Jake Ellenberger
This will be a one night tournament and will be the first one night tournament since UFC 17 all the way back in 1998.

UFC Fight Night: The Welterweight Collision January 4, 2014 The Marina Bay Sands Marina Bay, Singapore
Welterweight Bout: Johny Hendricks vs. Martin Kampmann Kampmann looked to upset Hendricks early on in the bout but it was Hendricks that finished off the fight with a KO (punch) early in the second round to advance.
Welterweight Bout: Carlos Condit vs. Jake Shields Condit and Shields put on a hell of a fight that lasted all three rounds. Condit had the upperhand for most of it but Shields was shockingly given the split decision victory to advance.
Welterweight Bout: Robbie Lawler vs. Demian Maia Lawler dominated Maia from the opening of the fight and finished him off less than 2 minutes into the first round with punches to go 4-0 in the UFC and advance.
Welterweight Bout: Rory MacDonald vs. Jake Ellenberger MacDonald and Ellenberger put on a barnburner of a fight with both men getting in good shots at each other. They go the distance and it is MacDonald that is giving the unaninmous decision victory to advance.
Welterweight Bout: Johny Hendricks vs. Jake Shields In their second bouts of the evening, Hendricks and Shields go toe to toe but Shields, who is looking tired gets KOed early in the first round meaning that Hendricks will advance to the finals.
Welterweight Bout: Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald Lawler and MacDonald put on another phenomenal fight and MacDonald looks as though he is going to upset Lawler but Lawler fights back into it and finishes MacDonald off with a flying knee to go 5-0 in the UFC and advance to the finals.
Welterweight Championship Bout: Johny Hendricks vs. Robbie Lawler Lawler and Hendricks throw down in a fight that will likely be a candidate for fight of the year. Lawler looks as though he's about to win but Hendricks fights back and the fight goes all 5 rounds. The judges rule the bout in favor of the new UFC Welterweight Champion...ROBBIE LAWLER! He is now 6-0 in the UFC!

New York City, NY - In a shocking announcement, that New York City council has agreed to legalize MMA and Dana White immediately announced that UFC 171 will be hosted at Madison Square Garden. Several UFC fighters took to Twitter in an attempt to be apart of the historic event.

UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Philippou January 15, 2013 Bellagio Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, Nevada
Prelims
Heavyweight Bout: Soa Palelei vs. Brandon Vera Palelei and Vera put on a relatively good fight and Palelei manages to win the fight via KO (punches) early in the second round.
Middleweight Bout: Bubba McDaniel vs. Nick Ring McDaniel and Ring put on a hell of a bout which impresses everyone as they go the entire 3 rounds. The judges score the bout unaninmously in favor of Nick Ring thus awarding him the victory.
Middleweight Bout: Ronny Markes vs. Magnus Cedenblad Cedenblad hardly even puts up a fight as Markes just hammers away as soon as the bout begins. He finishes him early in the first via TKO (punches).
Lightweight Bout: Jim Miller vs. Evan Dunham Dunham and Miller throw down in a shockingly good bout. Miller puts up a good fight but it's Dunham that gets a TKO (doctor stoppage) victory.
Featherweight Bout: Dennis Siver vs. Felipe Arantes Siver and Arantes put on a slower fight than what would be expected from Featherweights but they end up going the entire fight and Arantes is awarded the unaninmous decision victory.
Main Card
Light Heavyweight Bout: Gian Villante vs. Vinny Magalhaes Magalhaes dominates the fight and by the end of the first round he has Villante locked in an armbar and gets him to tapout.
Welterweight Bout: Bobby Voelker vs. Matt Brown Two incredibly gifted fighters stand toe to toe in the octagon and and clash like warriors. The two go the distance and Brown is awarded his 7th straight victory by split decision.
Middleweight Bout: Uriah Hall vs. Yushin Okami Okami struggles to mount offense in this bout and Hall quickly finishes him off via KO (punch).
Middleweight Bout: Luke Rockhold vs. Costa Philippou Rockhold shows a bit of ring rust in his return to the octagon but he still manages to put up a great fight against Philippou. However, Philippou locks him in a rear naked choke late in the fourth round to get the submission.

UFC on Fox: Cruz vs. Faber January 25, 2014 Honda Center Anaheim, California
Prelims
Featherweight Bout: Jimy Hettes vs. Mizuto Hirota Hettes and Hirota put on a good opening bout which goes all 3 rounds and Hirota is awarded a unaninmous decision victory.
Bantamweight Bout: Mitch Gagnon vs. Scott Jorgensen Jorgesen dominates the fight from the opening horn and easily locks Gagnon into the rear-naked choke late in the first round to get the victory.
Flyweight Bout: Jussier da Silva vs. John Lineker Lineker and da Silva put on a great bout with da Silva looking like he's close to the victory but Lineker fights back and drops da Silva with a punch to get the KO victory in the second round.
Women's Bantamweight Bout: Jessamyn Duke vs. Amanda Nunes Duke and Nunes once again show that women's MMA has a place in the UFC as they entertain the fans for 3 straight rounds until Duke is awarded the split decision victory.
Welterweight Bout: Zak Cummings vs. Ryan LaFlare Cummings struggles hardcore throughout the entire fight and LaFlare manages to lock in an armbar in the middle of the second round to get the submission victory and remain a perfect 11-0.
Main Card
Lightweight Bout: Mac Danzig vs. Pat Healy Danzig and Healy have an all out slug fest in which Healy gets the submission (rear-naked choke) victory in the third round.
Featherweight Bout: Clay Guida vs. Cub Swanson Swanson dominates the fight, that's really all there is to say. Guida tries to mount some offense but Swanson manages to KO him with a punch in the first round.
Bantamweight Bout: Roland Delorme vs. TJ Dillashaw Delorme and Dillashaw put on a great warmup bout to the main event and Dillashaw makes Delorme submit to the neck crank early in the third round.
Bantamweight Championship Bout: Dominick Cruz (c) vs. Urijah Faber Faber looks to finally capture the Bantamweight title here and Cruz wants to retain it. The two put on what may be known as the greatest UFC fight of all time and it goes all 5 rounds. The judges decide that the winner...AND STILL UFC BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPION IS DOMINICK CRUZ!
