TNA - Preparing for a new IMPACT!
Date: October 21st, 2013. It is the day after the biggest pay per view on the TNA Calendar Bound for Glory and Dixie Carter is not happy. The ratings are slowly going down, The tickets being sold are decreasing and the lack of interest in TNA is growing. Forced to accept that as of late TNA is failing Dixie and Energy had to make a choice. Sell up and get out of the business..... Or bite down on their mouth piece and fight to make Total Non Stop Action great once more. Instead of bailing Dixie to her credit chose to work on improving the brand. Quickly discovering that one of the main problems the company was facing was expenses several high profile cuts were confirmed. Chavo Guerrero, Mr. Anderson, Hulk Hogan, Rampage Jackson, Tito Ortiz, Mo, ODB and Lei D'Tapa were all quickly released from their contracts in cost cutting measures. It is believed from now on TNA will only be signing talents it knows that will come cheap (I.E OVW wrestlers) or independent wrestlers looking for exposure rather then using money on established names. Another move made by Dixie was to vacate the Television Championship. Held previously by Abyss it was said Dixie made this decision stating why have a championship held by a man not appearing regularly on television. Speaking of which the Joseph Park Character is now said to have run it's course with TNA working on slowly bring Abyss back in down the line. With these changes made so far it is not known whether TNA can fix the damage done or whether it will continue sinking. But one thing is for sure if TNA is to go down it will go down swinging!

AJ Styles wins World Titles - Aces & Eights forced to disband? At Bound for Glory AJ Styles persevered the tough challenge of Bully Ray to reclaim his post as World Champion. As an angered Dixie Carter then looked on AJ left through the crowd and disappeared with the title. With the saying going never cross the boss Dixie Carter is believed to be furious as not only AJ but also Bully Ray. In fact it is rumored that Dixie has ordered the ACES & Eights President to disband his group or else she would terminate his contract.

TNA IMPACT WRESTLING Salt Lake City, Utah 24th October, 2013'New Beginnings'After the usual TNA Opening videos plays. Viewers in attendance and at home are treated to a video detailing all of the key events that went down at the biggest event of the Wrestling Year Bound for Glory. The main focus of the video shows AJ Styles going AWOL after his championship win over Bully Ray and then slowly focuses on the emotional induction of Kurt Angle in the Hall of Fame. Once the video comes to an end the show opens up inside the arena as the lively crowd in attendance are on their feet chanting for AJ Styles. After a few seconds of focusing on the opening pyrotechnic display the cameras then zoom in onto the commentary booth where Mike Tenay and Taz are seated. As Tenay speaks saying that there is still no word on AJ Syles' status Taz looks incredibly nervous. Tenay picks up on this and mentions that the show will open up with the TNA President Dixie Carter. The man in me plays from the titantron as the crowd in attendance starts to boo. TNA President Dixie Carter then confidently strolls out from the back closely followed by Jeremy Borash who is holding two string bags one under each arm. As they reach the ring Dixie looks over at one of the referees stationed and ringside. The ref quickly climbs onto the apron and holds the ropes open for Dixie to enter the ring. Borash then follows as Dixie is handed a microphone by a member of the production crew. The chants for AJ Styles are clearly bothering Dixie as she shows a look of disgust on her face.Dixie: May I just begin by saying that we here at Total Non Stop Action would appreciate never hearing that name mentioned again. Because it is all his fault that TNA is in the state it is in. Our stock is dropping and our investors are concerned because we have no champion. All because of the selfish behavior of a man who claims to be a TNA original who has supported the brand through thick and thin. When really all he did was leech off of us for his own desires. However right now I am pleased to announce a remedy to this situation. See with us holding a special event on the 29th of December called Final Resolution. I have decided in the run up to that show TNA will be holding a World title tournament. This tournament will see sixteen of the top talents in TNA face off and slowly we will reach the finals at Final Resolution in which the winner will receive this....
JB opens one of the string bags and pulls out a title
Dixie: The TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Now earlier on today a draw was conducted to determine the matches for the tournament. And they are as followed...
Kazarian vs TBA Jeff Hardy vs Bobby Roode Kenny vs Sting Chris Sabin vs TBA Samoa Joe vs Gunner Austin Aries vs Hernandez Magnus vs James Storm Kurt Angle vs Chris DanielsThere are several small pops from the crowd t some of the matches announced.Dixie: So as you can see TNA will be moving on very well now it has gotten rid of a certain parasite. And whilst we are on the subject of champions. I would like to address this other matter.
JB then unravels the other bag and pulls out the TNA Television Championship
Dixie: As we all know this title was in the possession of Abyss. But Abyss has not defended this title for well over 30 days. Now I was unable to get in contact with Abyss but I was able to speak to his brother Joseph and he handed me the title saying his brother won't be back for a long while. So I was left with the problem about what to do with this title when it dawned on me. The perfect television champion is someone who you will be proud to feature on every show possible. A television champion who has talent, charisma and the look of a star. So please welcome your new Television Champion ETHAN CARTER III
The crowd boos loudly as a suited up EC3 slowly walks out onto the stage before walking to the ring with a big smirk on his face. In the ring Dixie is clapping her hands before being joined in the ring by Ethan. After giving Dixie a big hug Ethan is then passed the Television Championship by JB.
Dixie: And tonight your new television champion will defend his title against a very credible challenger of my choosing.
EC3 nods his head as Dixie continues.
Dixie: Now finally I would like Bully Ray, Knux, Garrett Bischoff, Taz and a man despite not really being affiliated with the group anymore but who I have seen in the back earlier today Wes Brisco to come to the ring.
Aces & Eights theme plays from the titantron as Bully Ray, Garrett Bischoff, Brooke and Knux walk out from the back. An anxious Taz then leaves the commentary table before he climbs into the ring. After a few seconds the music stops and Wes Briscoe then walks out from the back wearing a black suit and shades. Briscoe also looks pretty nervous as he climbs into the ring. Bully motions for a microphone but Dixie waves the crew member away.
Dixie: They won't need microphones. All they need to do is listen. Bully we had a deal. If you beat AJ I would let everything your group had done in the past lie. But you lost. And as I see it you've had your chance. So right now Aces and Eights are no more. And if you got a problem with it don't let the door hit you on the way out!
None of the group look happy but not of them also appear to be willing to walk.
Dixie: I take it by none of you leaving that you all want to stay. So here is how it is going to be. First of all Taz you go back to the table. Depending on how you do tonight we might look into a replace. Now as for the rest of you here is how it is going to be. Tonight is your personal Gut Check. If you do not impress me then your place on the roster will be history. And yes Wes that does include you. So if you all can clear the ring. Knux your up first!
Dixie then leaves the ring closely followed by EC3 and JB as everyone in the ring starts to protest. After a few moments everyone but Knux leaves the ring. Knux then begins to wave on to the entrance area for his opponent.
Christy Hemme: It is now time for our opening contest of the evening. Already in the ring at this time Knux.
Knux raises an arm in the air to boos.
Christy: And his opponent
Christy: From the Isle of Samoa.... SAMOA JOE
The crowd explodes into cheers as Samoa Joe walks out from the back determined as ever. In the ring Knux shakes his head in disbelief as Joe then storms down to the ring.
Match One: Knux vs Samoa Joe
This match as you can imagine was very hard hitting but at the start it did not look like it was going to last long what so ever as Samoa Joe was all over Knux like the press over Justin Bieber's love life. Hitting Knux with some hard forearms right off the gate Joe then followed up with a big exploder suplex before he made a cover for a quick count of two. To his credit Knux survived a big onslaught of attacks from Joe before side stepping the CCS Enzugiri. This gave Knux a chance to take over and he showed off some of his power in doing so even hitting Joe with a big side walk slam for a very close near fall. Yet as we have seen many times in the past one mistake is all it takes some times to seal the deal and it was Knux attempting a big bicycle kick on Joe which allowed Joe to catch him and hit a capture suplex before locking in the Coquina Clutch which ended the match.
Christy: And the winner of the match Samoa Joe.
The crowd is elated as Samoa Joe pulls out a impressive performance. On commentary Mike Tenay says that Knux had a few moments in the early stages but was really unable to get going against the extremely fired up Samoan. When asked what he thinks Taz again says he feels Knux was set up to fail
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The mysterious and elusive cameraman backstage then catches footage of an angered Bully Ray, Brooke, Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco all ranting about what Dixie has done to them. Briscoe especially is angered when he says he was kicked out of the group but still has to suffer.Bully then begins to reprimand Wes saying not everything is about him when a member of the production crew shows up and says that Dixie has announced that Wes and Garrett will be teaming up tonight whilst Brooke will be in action next. This causes Brooke to walk off to prepare for her match and Garrett and Wes to storm off in the other direction. A bemused Ray then begins yelling at the crew member saying that he is a former world champion and that he should be given more respect. When all of a sudden Ray is tapped on the shoulder. Ray yells at the person he will deal with them in a minute as he continues to yell at the crew member when he is tapped again. Angered Ray turns round and is shocked to come face to face with 'The ' James Storm. A stunned Ray takes a step back as James Storm then informs Ray he will more then have to deal with him because he is Bully Ray's opponent for later on tonight. Ray looks horrified as Storm then walks off down the hall.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Standing by in the interview area Jeremy Borash looks set to interview Velvet Sky. But right before JB can even ask her a question Chris Sabin walks onto the set and takes the microphone. As a stunned Velvet looks on Chris Sabin starts to complain about even having to compete in a tournament next week when really he should just be handed the world title. Sabin then turns to Borash and starts to demand answers as to who his opponent is. JB is no use in answering the question saying he does not know and this sets Sabin off more. Sabin complains calling himself the greatest X Division wrestler in TNA history and also the best TNA world Champion in TNA history. Velvet Sky tries to calm her boy friend down to no avail as he continues on ranting when suddenly a man walks right up to him and holds his hand out for a handshake. Wearing a tight shirt and jeans this muscular man stares at Sabin who refuses to shake his hand before introducing himself as Brian Cage. JB then mentions Brian was a past contestant on Gut Check. This causes Sabin to smirk as he brands Cage a wash out only to have Cage respond that whilst he may have missed his window the first time. He is back now to take another crack. And he will do that next week when he faces Chris Sabin in the first round of the world title tournament. A smiling Cage then walks out of view as a pissed off Sabin stands there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Match Two: Brooke vs Mia Yim
Knowing she had to impress TNA president Dixie Carter it was safe to say the pressure was on Brooke. Adding to this was the fact that her opponent was not even a familiar foe but instead a rising up and coming debutante known as Mia Yim. The early stages of the contest were mainly a feeling out contest (Not in that way you perv, But how awesome would it be IRL). Clearly by the way she was moving Mia was a lot faster then Brooke and nearly scored an early near fall thanks in part to a creative roll up. Brooke then snapped into things showing some aggression after cheap shotting Mia. But it seemed no matter what Brooke did to her including a nasty shoot kick to the face that Mia was able to kick out showing a ton of guts. Showing signs of frustration Brooke then tried for the Tess-Shocker but Mia was able to block it before she countered with a bull dog. With Brooke down on the canvas Mia then climbed up to the top rope before she leapt off for a moonsault only to have Brooke roll out of the way at the last second. Mia landed hard on the canvas and Brooke was able to pin her for the victory.
Christy: And the winner of the match Brooke.
The crowd boos loudly as Brooke climbs to her feet before having her arm raised in the air. Brooke then did a bit of twerking to a few wolf whistles before leaving the ring. The referee then assisted Mia to her feet who earned quite a bit of applause from the TNA faithful as on commentary Mike Tenay put her over. Taz on the other hand was more gushing about Brooke saying she more then stamped her own ticket.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Off the Chain then plays from the titantron and the crowd begins to boo as Pro Wrestling's it factor and the leader of the EGO stable Bobby Roode walks out from the back. Roode is dressed in a sharp suit and it is clear by the look on his face despite the big win over Kurt Angle at Bound for Glory that he is not happy. Climbing into the ring Roode snatches himself a microphone before he takes the center of the ring.Roode: So I came to the arena today and I was in a good mood. In fact you could say I was in a great move. Because I corrected a mistake in the record books which was made two years ago. Because no longer at Bound for Glory is it Kurt Angle 1 Bobby Roode 0. I have evened the odds and as I see it I have proven myself to being the better wrestler. The crowd boos as Roode nods his head.Roode: Then in the main event AJ Styles wins the big one. He wins the world title and I very well was ready to come out here tonight and call him out to get my shot. But most likely knowing that he runs through the crowd like the bitch he is and basically quits the company. Oh and whilst we are on the subject of AJ Styles let me just say the only thing he was really phenomenal at was getting you moronic marks to call him a 5 star piece of talent. He might have pulled the wool over all of your eyes but I saw right through him.The boos increase as Roode just stares in front of him. Roode: And now comes the kicker. See common sense dictates that with the victory I hold over Kurt Angle who was just inducted into the hall of fame. And with my wins over AJ Styles, James Storm, Sting, Bully Ray, Chris Sabin and many others that I should be number one contender. But as there is no champion right now that means I should be by default your next world champion. The crowd erupts into boos as Roode paces back and forth.Roode: Yet instead I am thrown in this joke of a tournament to crown the new champion. And in an even bigger joke I am given a man I have been matched up against and defeated in the past in Jeff Hardy. What a joke this is. The only thing is I am not laughing. I think it is pathetic. To make me have to face a man I have proven myself countless times to be a lot better then is a waste of my time. So Dixie Carter I know you are watching this. I demand you come out here right now and give me what should rightfully be mine and that is the TNA World Championship!. Similar Creatures then plays from the titantron to a massive pop from the crowd. As an annoyed Bobby Roode looks on Jeff Hardy then walks out from the back dressed to compete. Walking down to the ring the crowd can be heard chanting Jeff's name repeatedly. Hardy then climbs up onto the apron before he climbs into the ring. Once in the ring Jeff is then handed a microphone.
Jeff: Bobby would you do the world a favor and just shut up!
The crowd explodes into cheers as an angered Roode stares at Hardy.
Jeff: See Bobby we all know you are good. You got everyone's respect for what you can do in the ring. But what you don't have is anyone's respect for how you are outside of the ring. See I know I am not a saint. Never will be. But I can proudly say I was never a condescending, arrogant, douche bag like you are. And I can also proudly say that I am happy to be in this tournament and earn my next world title rather then just be handed it on a plate.
As the crowd cheers it is clear Roode is very annoyed by Jeff's presence.
Roode: Is that it? Is that all you come out here to do. Mention how much of a screw up you are for your creatures of the night and earn a sympathy pop. Because let me tell you something this is not the Jeff Hardy show. That's been officially canceled. And when me and you face off your title hopes and dreams will be canceled just as quickly. So Jeff don't worry after I beat you. You will have all the excuses you need to go back to the sewers you came from. Take your freakish creatures with you. And light one up until you are so numb that you forget just how much of a loser you really are.
The crowd boos at the obvious cheap shot made.
Jeff: You know Bobby. It seems you are real confident that you can beat me. So all I am left to ask is. Why wait? Let's go right now.
Before Roode can react Hardy decks him with a right hand causing him to drop his microphone. Jeff then grabs Roode by the tie and pulls him in for another big punch. Roode hits the deck and Hardy jumps on him for a couple more punches until Roode rolls over and returns the favor with some hard punches of his own. The crowd is buzzing watching the fight as Hardy pushes Roode off of him. Jeff then launches himself at Roode and the two men topple over the top rope. Roode hits the floor and Jeff lands hard on the apron. Roode slowly starts to climb to his feet on the floor and Jeff leaps off of the ring apron with a thesz press hitting Roode with more punches. Roode pushes him off and climbs to his feet before he tosses Jeff into the steel steps. With Hardy against the steps Roode charges at him only to be met with a drop toe hold which drops Roode across the steps. Before any more damage can be done security rushes down to the ring and starts to split them up. But as they pull Hardy back an enraged Roode climbs to his feet and spears him to the floor. The two men then continue brawling until finally security splits them up much to the dissatisfaction of the crowd.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sting returns next week!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Match Three: Garrett Bischoff/Wes Brisco vs Manik/Eric Young
Our next contest of the evening is tag team action as Wes Briscoe and Garrett Bischoff compete for their jobs against Manik and Eric Young. To say there was tension between Garrett and Wes Briscoe would be an under statement. As it was clear even once the bell ring there was still some bitterness from Wes' Aces and Eights departure. Starting out for their teams were Eric Young and Wes Brisco. In the early stages it was all Briscoe as he aggressively tore into Young. Eric to his credit started to make a slow come back and stunned Briscoe with an enzugiri before making the tag out to Manik. Springing into the ring Manik hit Wes with a cross body before he followed up with a number of impressive high spots until Wes was left with no choice but to tag out to Garrett. Rushing into the ring Garrett was then met with a dropkick. a running hurricanrana followed before Manik tagged out to Eric Young. Young then climbs up onto the top rope and hits a clothesline on Garrett. But as Eric made a cover Wes stormed the ring and kicked him hard to the back. Young rolled off and Wes then dragged him to his feet only to be met with a springboard drop kick by Manik. Manik then climbed to his feet to a massive pop. With the crowd cheering for them Young and Manik raise their arms in the air only to have Garrett shove Eric into Manik. Manik falls out of the ring and Eric staggers back into a reverse DDT by Bischoff. The crowd boos as Garrett then makes the cover for the three.
Christy: And the winners of the match Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco.
The crowd boos loudly as Garrett Bischoff climbs to his feet in the ring. Wes then joins Garrett in the ring and the two men get their hands raised before they shake hands. Taz on commentary proudly compliments their team work saying he taught them everything they know whilst Tenay also rather begrudgingly gives them plaudits for their team work.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the interview area Jeremy Borash was standing by with current Knockouts Champion Gail Kim. To say Kim was confident here would be an understatement as she not only called her self the pioneer of the knockouts but also the real pioneer of women's wrestling. Despite this being called an interview JB did not really get a chance to ask any questions as Gail continued by saying she has defeated all the top women's wrestlers not just in TNA but in the world. And next week she wanted a new challenge. Which is why she is issuing an open challenge to anyone who wants to face the champion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Match Four: Ethan Carter III vs Dewey Barnes - TV Championship MatchAs you can imagine this match was basically a complete squash as EC3 dominated Dewey Barnes. To his credit Dewey had a brief moment of offense when he caught EC3 with a running dropkick but as he went to follow up by climbing up to the top rope he was crotched onto the ropes by Ethan. Carter then pulled him off of the ropes and drove him into the canvas with a headlock driver for the win.Christy: And the winner of the match and still champion EC3.The crowd boos loudly as Ethan Carter climbs to his feet and is presented with the TV title. Raising it high in the air to boos, on commentary Taz can be marveling on commentary about EC3 calling him an undefeated champion. EC3 then grabs himself a microphone and states 'We're the Carters, And the world needs us.'----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The mysterious and elusive camera man then cuts to the hallway where Robbie E and Jesse G can be seen standing by with their Tag Team Championships. Robbie goes on record to say not only are they the best team in wrestling but also that they are the biggest bros in wrestling. In the back ground Rockstar Spud can be seen standing by and laughing at the champs as they continue to make more obnoxious statements. Eventually Rock Star Spud bursts out loud with laughter after Robbie E states that no team can beat the Bro Mans. This causes the champs to turn round and confront him. After being called a wash out and being told to go back to OVW, Rock Star Spud showed his mettle by reminding E that he actually holds a win over him in the past. The infuriated Jersey Shore Native started to blame the loss on that big, welsh moron known as Rob Terry. But as he continued his rant Rob Terry could be seen standing behind him. The Bro Mans continued mouthing off blissfully unaware that Terry is behind them hearing all of it. Spud then makes the bold decision to take on The Bro Mans team. Confident that no one will team with Spud the champions accept. When asked who is partner will be Spud tells the champs to look behind them. And to their horror the champs turn to see a fired up Terry standing there. Terry nods his head as Spud asks if that is good with him. Staring directly at Robbie E, Terry then leans in and says he will see him next week before walking off with Spud.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Main Event: Bully Ray vs James Storm
It was now time for the main event and it was the gut check for one former world champion as he took on a former world champion in his own right not to mention a TNA original. On commentary Taz again began complaining this time about how his former leader in the group is only being punished like this for the lady in charge to save face. The bell rings to start the match and as you can imagine with the pressure on Bully Ray went for it right from the start. Storm to his credit managed to persevere from the early onslaught and fight back against the former Aces and Eights leader. In fact the first close near fall of the match came from when James Storm hit Bully Ray with a sunset flip. Rolling to his feet Ray then charges at Storm only to be nearly caught with a super kick. Ray to his credit ducked out of the ring. And this was the story for the next part of the match as Bully Ray kept stalling every time James Storm looked to gain momentum. As the match neared the end James Storm stunned Ray badly with a single knee face buster but as he went to follow up with a super kick Ray was able to side step and hook him for a school boy stealing the win!
Christy: And the winner of the match Bully Ray.
The crowd boos loudly as Bully Ray jumps to his feet celebrating his win. James Storm pounds the mat in frustration as he then climbs to his feet. Ray continues being obnoxious with his celebration only to turn into a super kick by Storm. The show then closes with James Storm drinking a beer to the delight of the crowd.
